Field equipment and computing behind the interpretation
A comprehensive equipment inventory, drone-enabled acquisition and a mix of in-house and cloud-based computing power for processing, modelling and visualisation.
Equipment Inventory
Surface & borehole geophysical equipment
Arcanum maintains a comprehensive supply of surface and borehole geophysical equipment, together with hydrogeological field equipment. This allows us to mobilise the right instrumentation for gravity, DC resistivity, induced polarisation, electromagnetic, magnetic, seismic, ground penetrating radar and borehole logging programmes without relying on third-party equipment hire.
Computing
In-house & cloud-based processing
Field data is processed using a combination of in-house computing resources and cloud-based platforms, paired with the technical expertise required for rigorous data processing, modelling, interpretation and visualisation — from single-line profiles through to full 3D models.
Drone-Enabled Geophysics
UAV acquisition for large or difficult terrain
Drone technology extends our reach into large survey areas and difficult-to-access terrain, without compromising data resolution.
UAV Magnetometry
Airborne magnetic data acquisition for structural and mineral exploration mapping.
Colour Photogrammetry
High-resolution imagery for orthomosaics and surface mapping.
Thermal Infrared
Thermal imaging to support geological and environmental interpretation.
LiDAR
High-resolution terrain and vegetation-penetrating elevation data.
Data Workflow
From acquisition to decision-ready output
Our workflow moves from field acquisition through processing, quality control, 1D/2D/3D modelling and integrated geological-geophysical interpretation, to a clear final report and dataset our clients can build on.
Field Acquisition
Surface, borehole and drone-based data collection.
Processing & QC
In-house and cloud-based processing with rigorous quality control.
Modelling & Visualisation
1D, 2D and 3D interpretation and model visualisation.
